Do you bill in hourly increments or prorate?
DieHard Movers Denver charges on hourly increments for all our moves; however, we do provide leeway if you go over up to 15 minutes of the hour. We may also start billing on half-hour increments after 5 hours of moving service.
When does my time start?
Your time starts at dispatch; however, we will compensate for traffic. What we would do is check website such as Mapquest or Google Maps for the estimated time to your location without traffic, and we would use that time. Your movers will give you a call upon their dispatch to let you know when they are on their way. From the moment they arrive, you are able to keep your movers for as long as you need them. Your time ends when your move ends. You are also not responsible for the time back to our warehouse.
Is there additional charge for gas and mileage?
No. We are very opposed to hidden fees. The rate you get for your movers is an all inclusive rate that includes truck and equipment, including gas and mileage. However, if you are over 50 miles away from us, we will be required to charge a dollar for every extra mile outside the 50 mile marker (including to and from your location).
Are your quotes binding?
Our quotes are general estimates. They are non-binding and merely an approximation of the cost and time estimated for your move. You are not required to sign the estimate as the move may go over or under the estimated time.
Is there certain items you will not move?
We cannot move any perishables, hazardous items, or improperly packaged electronics.
Perishables include live items such as: plants, food, or pets.
Hazardous/flammable items include: gasoline, ammunition, loaded weapons, matches, and poisonous items.
Electronics not in their original packing will not be able to be moved by us as it a violation of our insurance policy.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you for any reason change your mind about using our moving services, simply give us a call, and we will cancel your move for you. We do, however, require you to cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled move. If you do cancel within those 48 hours, we will require you to pay a fee of $25-$50 depending on the size of your move. This is of course something we do not want to do, but with limited movers and trucks, a cancelled move with no replacement means the loss of money we would spend on that day, and our scheduled movers with no work on that day.
Does your company require a deposit upon booking?
We do require a valid debit/credit card to book your move as well as a small deposit of $1 to check that the card is valid. This amount is of course refunded to you on the day of your move. Nothing else will be charged on the card unless you wish to use that card as payment on the day of your move.
How will you protect my furniture?
DieHard Movers Denver puts the safety of your furniture at the top of our priority list. Our movers will arrive to your home, business, or storage with all the necessary equipment to relocate your furniture safely to its new location. They will pad and wrap your furniture to reduce the chance of any scuffs or scratches, and load it safely into the truck with a dolly if required.
What forms of payment do you accept?
DieHard Movers Denver accept all major credit and debit cards.
Are we allowed to help load our furniture?
Unfortunately, no. Our insurance company does not allow this as it would be a breach of our mover’s insurance. That being the case, you are in charge of your move, and would be able to help, if you would be willing to waive insurance coverage.
